Struck By Lightning

I solemnly swear that I am up to no good,

Struck By Lightning book review

Recently, I read a book called "Struck By Lightning: The Carson Phillips Journal." This book was based off of the new independent movie "Struck By Lightning." This movie was written, produced, and starred in by one of my favorite celebrities Mr. Chris Colfer himself. The book was basically exactly as the movie was, coming from the lead character and his point of view only. I just want to say, "Bravo!" to Colfer. This journal/book was amazing, and if I had never heard of the movie, it would have made me want to go see it as soon as possible. Now, I haven't seen the movie, but judging by the commercial I have seen for it, the book is pretty much exactly like it. Carson Phillips is in high school, taking on that terrible place and he wants to get into his dream college, don't we all? He wants to be a writer, so he decides his best way to do this is by creating a writing club, which no one wants to be a part of. He's in this dog eat dog world, where he's the dog getting bullied by all the other Great Danes out there. He then has a light bulb go off in his brain, this light bulb is telling him, "Why not blackmail pretty much the entire popular part of the school?" He thinks about it, and decides he has enough black mail and dirty secrets to black mail all of his biggest enemies, so he does. This book is full of truth, honesty, and a whole lot of scandals. It's funny, witty, and just plain amazing. I love this book and I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in this idea. It might even make you wish you could go back in time and black mail your enemies into doing whatever crazy thing you may want them to do. :)
(And yes, my name did come from this, and my intros and endings come from Miss J.K. Rowling herself. :D)
